Bokeem "Bo" Woodbine, who grew up in the Harlem section of New York, was born April 13, 1973. He made his debut at age 20 in the film Strapped (1993) (TV), which also starred Forest Whitaker. Woodbine has amassed an impressive string of credits in a variety of film projects: comedies such as director Christopher Guest's Almost Heroes (1998); dramas such as Mario Van Peebles's' Panther (1995); Jason's Lyric (1994); and director Spike Lee's Crooklyn (1994). Woodbine has also given memorable television performances in the award-winning shows "The Sopranos" (1999) and "City of Angels" (2000).
He is also a talented rock musician who both composes songs and plays the guitar. A formidable martial artist, he studied Kung Fu in Asia.
