Austin Lysy will be Romeo to Emmy Rossum's Juliet in the Williamstown Theatre Festival mounting of Romeo and Juliet. The production, directed by Will Frears, is scheduled to run August 2 through August 13.

Lysy is currently starring off-Broadway in The Water's Edge, helmed by Frears. He previously appeared at Williamstown in The Water's Edge, The Chekhov Cycle, Philadelphia, Here I Come! and Loot. Lysy has appeared on Broadway in Macbeth. In addition to The Water's Edge, his off-Broadway credits include Hobson's Choice, Other People and Manic Flight Reaction.

Along with Lysy and Rossum, Romeo and Juliet will feature Bill Camp as Friar Laurence, Kristine Nielsen as the Nurse, Daniel Oreskes as Capulet, Remy Auberjonois as Tybalt , Benjamin Walker as Mercutio, Enid Graham as Lady Capulet, Paul O'Brien as Montague and Sandra Shipley as Lady Montague.

In addition to the casting of Lysy, WTF also announced today that it would present Uncle Sam I Am: A 4th of July Celebration from June 27 though June 30 on the Nikos Stage. Created and directed by Sam Breslin Wright with musical direction by Kris Kukul, the free show will star Remy Auberjonois.
