Angela Schijf became famous thanks to her Academy Award-winning performance in "Goede tijden, slechte tijden" (1990) (GTST), in which she played Kim from 1996 until 1999. After that she played lead roles in the films Ik ook van jou (2001) and Van God Los (2003). She also played in the film Down (2001).
Angela played the lead in the musical 42nd Street in 2000-2001, and for that won the Musical Award voor Beste Vrouwelijke Nieuwkomer (Musical Award for best new female talent). In 2002-2003 she stood on the stage again playing in Momenten van Geluk, as wel as in 42nd Street again.
On TV Angela could be seen in shows as "Oppassen!!!" (1991), "M'n Dochter en Ik" (1995), "Baantjer" (1995) and "Babes" (1999). More recently, she played the younger sister of three in the series "Meiden van de Wit" (2002).
The past theatre season she played a lead role in Glazen Speelgoed (The Glass Menagerie), and last March her new feature film Ordening, De (2003) (TV) was shown by NPS.
