Swedish pop singer Amy Diamond was born on April 15, 1992 in Norrkoping, Sweden as Amy Linnea Deasismont. At such a tender age, she is already a celebrity having several successful albums to her credit. The second child of an English father (Lee) and a Swedish mother (Chrisbeth), Amy spent her childhood in both countries where she studied dance, acted in theater and television, took part in singing and performance competitions. Amy is fluent in both English and Swedish. She was an ardent figure skater from the age of six and won a number of gold medals. Amy now lives in Jonkoping, Sweden with her two younger sisters, Lisa and Holly, and an older sister, Danielle.
Still in her teens, Amy Diamond does not like to mix her private life with her singing career. As she is not keen on letting the public know her real surname, she decided to take on her stage name, Amy Diamond, at the time of the release of her first single "What's in It for Me." Why Diamond? She explained that she preferred Diamond over everything else as it happened to be her birthstone.
Although already a famous pop singer, Amy Diamond regularly attends school and hardly misses a day. To her, education is important as she can fall back on it if her musical career does not follow the course she wants it to, or if she ever loses interest in singing. She still manages time to enjoy holidays and says the entertainment industry hasn’t treated her harshly. Her father manages her business affairs and there is full parental support to pursue her chosen career. Hairdressing is Amy’s dream hobby and she loves to dance and practice football in her spare time. She has two dogs in her family - Penny and Pixie.
