At an early age, London native Amber Melody Reed knew that she was destined to become a singer.
With an innate love of music, she found herself attracted to genres ranging from Reggae to Electro. At
15, she caught the eye of Pete Townsend (The Who), who quickly signed her to his Sony BMG label.
Amber’s career grew steadily as she developed her retro-chic image as a singer, songwriter and producer. She soon had over 28,000 fans on MySpace alone and over 235,000 plays of her featured songs. In 2007, Amber packed her bags and started her journey to Los Angeles, where she began collaborating with some of the hottest names in the business including Universal Record’s Tyga with whom she released her song “Smoke Dro,” which picked up over 400,000 instant downloads when it was leaked on the Internet. Impressed with Amber’s potential, Tom Ferguson of Interscope Records offered Amber her first major record label demo in 2008. While working on the label, Amber collaborated with London based producers, The Rural, who have worked with artists such as Beyonce and The Gorillaz. Since then, Amber has worked with a myriad of other producers responsible for some of the biggest names in the business. Due to her energetic and addicting performances at some of the most well known venues in the nation, including The Roxy, Molly Malone’s and SIR Studios, Amber has been featured throughout different media, including E! Entertainment, Hollywood’s 411, Channel U, Artist Direct and various music blogs. Two of Amber’s tracks were also featured on the Indie film, “Spork” which won the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and will be released in early 2011. Currently, Amber is developing her debut record with producer Todd Tackett in his LA studio. She is also working on her own artist development agency and producing for aspiring artists.
