Amanda Van Annan is a British actress, TV host, and model. She has graced the covers of several magazines all over the world and has appeared on few TV shows. Amanda moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and runs her own production company Great Light Entertainment. Van Annan played the role of Janet in the Italian film Natale a Beverly Hills, starring actors such as Christian De Sica, Massimo Ghini, Sabrina Ferilli and Michelle Hunziker. She was a regular on the fashion segment of the UK morning show GMTV with Lorraine Kelly.
In 2010, Van Annan produced in Jambo Jumbo, a documentary on the Masai Mara in Kenya with Sir Richard Branson, CEO of the Virgin Group. Van Annan played a minor role (which was later cut out) in the 1997 Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies. Van Annan was scouted at the age of 16 by Premier Model Management in London but ended up joining Unique Model Management, who were introduced to her by a make up artist. Within the first week she was shooting for Telegraph Magazine and then modeled for Vidal Sassoon. She has appeared in print advertisements for Ebel Swiss watches and Woolworths Group. She was featured in a commercial for Revlon. Van Annan is the founder of several companies, namely Elicina Europe, DNA HAIR USA, and Great Light Entertainment LLC which is based in Beverly Hills. In 2009, she changed her name to Amanda G Alys and is a cofounder of Extension Evolution with fellow British actress Judi Shekoni. She plays an active role in a lot of charities and supports CAMFED, a charity that supports the education of young girls in Africa.
