SCOTTSDALE, Arizona (AFP) – IndyCar driver Danica Patrick has again found her gift for speed is less appreciated off the track. The Arizona Republic reported Friday that Patrick, who this year became the first woman to win an IndyCar race, was stopped on December 9 and charged with going 54 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone. In January 2008, Scottsdale police cited Patrick for going 57 mph in a 40-mph zone. Patrick's need for speed has stood her in better stead on the track. In April she delighted her legion of fans by taking the chequered flag at the Indy Japan 300. Source: AFP
