| Biography of Mike Piazza |
| Mike Piazza was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1968 to Vince and Veronica Piazza. He grew up with four brothers, Vince Jr., Tony, Danny, and Tommy. He graduated from Phoenixville High School in Pennsylvania. He made his Major League Baseball debut in 1992 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, he is probably most known for playing catcher for the New York Mets, a team which Mike played for in the 2000 World Series. Mike retired in May 2008, and is expected to make it to the Hall of Fame when he becomes eligible. |
